KAU scholar gets patent on cognitive radio technology

A staff member of the Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz University has been granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for creating a new cognitive radio sensing method, according to local media. Dr. Ahmed M. Barnawi of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at KAU has reportedly conducted his work using the software-defined radio technology.
