Smithsonian to display Steve Jobs patent collection in exhibit at National Mall

The Smithsonian Institution is getting an exhibit ready that will highlight some of the many patents and products that Steve Jobs is responsible for. The exhibition will be displayed on the National Mall in conjunction with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The exhibit is set to open on May 11 and is called The Read The Full Story

Acetylon receives U.S. patent for ACY-1215 to treat multiple myeloma

Acetylon Pharmaceuticals Inc. today announced that it has been granted U.S. Patent 8,148,526 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office . This patent contains fundamental composition of matter claims covering the Company's selective HDAC6 inhibitor, ACY-1215, which is currently being investigated in human clinical trials for the treatment of multiple myeloma.

Apple wins long-awaited iTunes Store patent

Apple has been granted a patent for its iTunes Store interface, almost eight years after the company filed the application in 2004. Apple’s patent is for Graphical user interface for browsing, searching and presenting media items,? according to the official document published by the US Patent and Trademark Office on Tuesday.
