USTR retains RP in Watch List despite IPR improvements

Despite strong praises for the improvements in the intellectual property rights regime in the country, the US government has still retained the Philippines on its 2013 Watch List as it raised new issues that this major US ally must make progress on, such as online piracy, improve predictability with respect to search and seizure orders, and patentability of chemical forms.

Newly Awarded Patents Continue to Strengthen Midwest Energy Emissions Corp's Intellectual Property Rights in the U.S.
