First responders luncheon

MICHIGAN CITY In commemoration of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Michigan City’s Brookdale Senior Living facilities (Sterling House and Clare Bridge) honored the community’s first responders at their second annual Hero Appreciation luncheon early Friday afternoon.

Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfills boy’s wish of playing Batman

Joel Smith, 5, of Cabot has always been a hero. But he was able to add the title of crime fighter to his resume July 27 when the Mid-South Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation worked with the North Little Rock Police Department to provide him a special day.
